Color Me Happy Challenge

When I read the challenge on the Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog this week, I knew exactly what layout I wanted to use! The challenge this week was to use colors that make you happy. I absolutely love the colors in the Topstitch paper pack from a couple of years ago. The light pink and blue with the chocolate and vineyard berry, just makes me smile. I used pictures from one of bluebonnet sessions to complete the layout. I love the way the colors flow together!

Photo Inspiration Challenge

Over at the Heart 2 Heart Challenge this month, they posted a photo inspiration challenge. I must admit that this challenge was a little hard for me! The photo is beautiful, decorated birdcage with peach colored flowers. I knew I wanted to incorporate a birdcage and the soft colors from the photo into my project, but how to make it all work together took me a little time. I am pleased with the outcome.

Beach Layout featuring Footloose

When I first saw this weeks sketch for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, I I knew that I wanted to make a layout with all of those rectangles to be able to show off a few pictures of our precious baby girl (although these pics are old and she is not so much of a baby anymore). She has always loved water and she loves the beach! I just followed the sketch and expanded the size of each rectangle a little to turn it into a 12x12 layout. I used the Footloose paper pack from Close To My Heart and then stamped a few embellishments to go along with the beach theme. I am thrilled with the result! Using the KellyCraft Get-It-Straight Laser Square made it so easy to line up all of these rectangles perfectly spaced. The sketch is below. We would love to have you play along with us this week! I am also entering this layout in the Water Challenge over at the Heart 2 Heart blog.

Father Day's Card

I decided to use a couple of different challenges to create a Father's Day card for my husband. I am using the sketch challenge from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. The sketch is below. We would love to have you play along with us this week! I am also including this in the Tool Time Challenge over at the Heart 2 Heart Blog. I love the new Dream Pop paper and I combined it with Later Sk8r paper pack and Tool Time and Say It In Style stamp sets. I love the Tool Time stamp set for guy cards and I used my favorite scrap tool, the KellyCraft Get-It-Straight Laser Square. It all came together to create a masculine card for Father's Day!

Sonoma Card

I created this card for the sketch challenge at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. The sketch is below. We would love to have you play along with us this week! I used the Sonoma paper with two of my favorite stamp sets, Hooray Bouquet and 4 My Friend. I love the rich, dark colors of the paper. It has a sophisticated, vintage feel to it that works well for sympathy cards.

"Sweet" Layout

When I first saw this weeks sketch for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, I wasn't sure what to make all of those circles into. I thought maybe flowers, or hearts, or stars, then remembered this picture of my daughter wearing this dress with the circles and decided to just make the circles into, well circles. LOL! I think I might have gotten carried away with all of the circles. I used cardstock to match the colors in the dress and then punched circles. I ran a few of the circles through the Cuttlebug to give them a little dimension and to add a circle design to them. For a finishing touch, I added sparkle flourishes and sparkles. What girlie layout would be complete without lots of bling! The sketch is below. We would love to have you play along with us this week!
