Masculine Birthday Card

Since I live in a house with 5 guys and just 2 of us girls, it seems like I never have enough birthday cards for guys. So when I saw the sketch this week from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, I decided to try to make a masculine birthday card. This task proved to be challenging, since I tend to buy more "girlie" paper. I went with more neutral tones and I figured trees and wood grain were masculine. The sketch is below. We would love to have you join us!

Shining Moments

I absolutely love the Christmas Season and everything about it. We have always taken the kiddos to see Santa and get pictures taken, and this year was no exception. We actually saw and took pictures with four Santas, but these pics and this Santa were my favorites. He was so sweet and patient with the kiddos and the photographer was AMAZING and took several fabulous pictures while Kendall and Santa chatted. I wanted to do a layout of these pictures and the sketch for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge was exactly what I had in mind. The sketch is below and we would love to have you join us this week! I also love the colors int he Sparkle and Shine paper and it worked perfectly for the Heart 2 Heart Challenge this week. Now to go make sure Santa got everything on her wish list. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Bundle of Joy

It seems like we have baby fever at work right now. We have several of our staff members that have or will soon become parents and grandparents to sweet little Bundles of Joy! I absolutely love baby showers and lately we have had several. So with all of these showers, I have ran out of baby cards. Well tonight, I made this card using the sketch from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge this week. I love how it turned out and can't wait to give it along with the baby calendar I made at the shower tomorrow for one of our 4th grade teachers.

Flip Flaps

Welcome to the Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop!  The blogger in front of me is Barbi Kelley.   The Stampers with an Attitude are excited to show how the Stampers With an Attitude use Flip Flaps in their artwork , so here we go.

I always take way to many pictures of the kids and then can never decide which pictures to put on a layout. Usually, I have enough pictures of each event to do at least a dozen layouts. I hate to leave out the important ones, but who really needs 12 layouts of the same birthday party. Anyway, now that Close To My Heart has come up with Flip Flaps in all different sizes, it is so easy to add all of those extra pictures onto one layout. That is exactly what I have done today. I created a two-page layout using the Proplayer paper to use for a rock climbing birthday party my boys had a few years ago. I had 256 pictures of the party, but I managed to narrow that down to only 32 pictures on this layout. That is right, 32 pictures on one layout! How awesome is that?!?! I used the 4"x6" flip flaps and the 3"x3" and 4"x4" flip flaps from the small assortment. I added a total of 12 flip flaps to the layout. I love the fact that there are so many pictures on the page, but it doesn't look crowded or overdone. The magic of Flip Flaps!!

The next blogger on the hop is Sheila Bennett.
