Birthday Color Challenge

This week for the Heart 2 Heart challenge, we had to use our birth month to create a layout that featured a certain color. Well, since I was born in July, my feature color is Pacifica. It just so happens that the Confetti Wishes paper pack happens to feature Pacifica, so what better way to create a Birthday Color Challenge than by creating a birthday layout!

Tinsel Time!

This week for the Heart 2 Heart challenge, we had to complete a Tinsel Time color challenge. The challenge was to feature the colors Black, Lagoon, and Silver. This color combo immediately made me think of snowflakes. I started with a piece of the black snowflake Snowhaven paper. Then, I used the CTMH silver glitter paper and the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut out a shimmering snowflake. The Lagoon cardstock was embossed on my Cuttlebug using a snowflake embossing folder. I added the sentiment at the bottom using silver embossing powder. I have a feeling this will be as close as I get to snowflakes this year in South Texas. :)

Masking Tape Technique & Color Challenge

This week over at Heart2Heart there is a color challenge using Desert Sand, Cranberry, Goldrush, and Lagoon. I have been wanting to try the masking tape technique for awhile now and thought this would be the perfect time. I really enjoyed the technique and I think the card turned out okay for my first try.
