As school began this last week, the temperatures also began to cool down just a little and the football season started which means fall is in the air. Autumn is one of my favorite times of year. After a long hot summer, the cooler weather is a welcome relief. Of course being from Texas, Friday night lights is a big part of our fall. We love to go see the band march and watch the football game. When I first looked at the sketch this week for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, I immediately thought about doing leaves down the side of the card. Then when I checked out the challenge for Heart 2 Heart this week and it was a color challenge that would be great for fall leaves, I know it was the perfect choice. I used the rock and roll method to add several different colors to each leaf to give them the colors of Autumn. I love the way this method worked for the sentiment also. I was a little surprised at how the Cashmere ink looked green when mixed with the other colors, a nice added bonus for my leaves. I am loving the new Huntington paper pack and hope to have some time over the next week to create a layout for some of our fall pictures this year.
