Chantilly Card - Sketch Challenge

I created this card for the sketch challenge at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. The sketch is below. We would love to have you play along with us this week! I combined the Chantilly paper pack with the butterflies from Dotty For You. The like the way the soft colors blend together. One of my favorite techniques that I don't use nearly often enough is machine stitching on paper. I love the detail it adds to the card. Add in a few buttons and a little bling and everything came together perfectly! I am also entering this card in the Nip and Tuck sewing challenge at the Heart 2 Heart Blog. Claire Card featuring the May SOTM

I absolutely love the colors in the Claire paper pack! They just have that cozy feel to them, kind of reminds me of a quilt that my grandmother had when I was little. When I saw the sketch this week, I immediately thought of these papers. While browsing through the blog of a fellow CTMH consultant, Susan Williams, I found a tutorial she had created for a sunburst card and thought it would be great with the sketch and Claire papers. Pemberly Card

I created this card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for this week. Below is a copy of the sketch for the week. I choose the Pemberly paper for this sketch because I just love the colors. The yellow paired with blue is one of my favorite combinations. I love the use of sparkle flourishes on anything because you can never have enough bling!

Buzz and Bumble Card

I am so excited to be a part of the Design Team for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! What an honor! Below is the sketch for this week. I must admit, I struggled a little with this sketch. I think sometimes the simple sketches are more challenging for me. After pulling out several paper packs and not having much success putting something together that I liked, I saw that the Buzz and Bumble paper from our club meeting a couple of weeks ago was still sitting on the corner of the table. I grabbed it and this card suddenly came together rather quickly! So, I guess it was a good thing I hadn't cleaned my scrap area lately! Lol! Dream Pop Card!

I created this card using the new Dream Pop paper pack which is the National Scrapbooking Month special from Close To My Heart. This paper pack is so much fun with it's bright, colorful cardstock and patterned papers it is easy to show a little attitude in your art!
