Follow Your Arrow Layout featuring CTMH Hopscotch

The challenge this week at Heart 2 Heart is "Entwined". I decided to use the new Extra Thick Twine in Flaxen to add to my Hopscotch layout for my club this month. The layout design was inspired our hostess who wanted a layout to feature her teenage daughter. I think this layout definitely says "teenage girl". For full details on how I created this layout, check out this KellyCraft blog post.

My Home, My Family, My Heart

The challenge this week at Heart 2 Heart is "Home is Where the Heart Is". My heart and my home is my family. We have moved many times over the years and lived in many different places, but no matter where we are, as long as we are together that is my home and always where my heart will always be. I created this family layout to showcase our family pictures that were taken at the beach right before our son left for Marine boot camp in San Diego. Lathough we may be stretched acorss the country now, my family will always be my home and my heart! For full details on how I created this layout, check out this KellyCraft blog post.

A Different Take on CTMH Yuletide Carol

I must admit that when I first saw the Yuletide Carol paper pack, it was not my favorite. However, I really liked a couple of sheets of the paper and immediately thought they would work well for a heritage or vintage layout. I wanted to create a layout that was monochromatic and would work well for older black and white photos. I plan to put some of the old pictures that belonged to my parents. This layout also worked great for the Heart 2 Heart challenge this week, Something Old, Something New. The challenge required us to use something old in a new way or paired with something new. I am using the Yuletide Carol paper in a new/different way and will be pairing it with some old photos. I am so pleased with how it turned out, that I have decided that we will be creating this layout for our hostess club in January.
